Dev79 presents Street Bass Anthems Volume 5 features 17 original and unreleased tracks including new material by Suzi Analogue, who, fresh off her Scion A/V collaborative single with Tokimonsta, lends her playful vocal delivery to Dev79’s dizzying juke-infused “Black Hoodie”. Canadian bass icons, Knight Riderz, team up with MC Zulu for a steaming dancehall stomper “Rudie Cyaant Fail”, while DMC champion DJ Shiftee & Rx (Made in Glitch) twists elements of footwork and Baltimore Club into their surreal “Think About It”. Starkey employs the mesmerizing vocal styling of Halfcast on his bouncing “Circus”, and BD1982 and Dev79 combine forces as 7982 for the moody tropical “Letters & Numbers”. All of the tracks are pure heat, trust that.
The original edition of this was a highly sought after USB flash drive wristband. Not only did it contain Street Bass Anthems Vol. 5, we also added Street Bass Bootlegs Vol. 2 (which we haven’t even announced the existence of yet!) both in WAV format. On top of that, we included two different street bass wallpapers (in 3 different resolutions each) and to top it off a custom street bass drive icon for good measure. Sounds good doesn’t it? Too bad you missed out on the very limited edition package (only 75 were made). So if you got one you’re practically famous.
If, like most of the world, you did miss out then worry not. Street Bass Anthems Volume 5 is now officially on sale digitally, but you can only get it at Beatport. And you best look out for Street Bass Bootlegs Volume 2 coming very, very soon.
