‘Eel’ is a techno infused monster of percussion while ‘Kurgan’ explores an almost funky house sound with explosive synth drops. Not on the 7″, we’ve also got the smashing ‘Hut’ with its dubstep meets juke on crack vibes. Combining time travel with dance music Distal breaks down the more ambiguous sounds from the past and fuses them with thoughts and equations of the future. Because of this non-traditional approach to dubstep, funky and techno, Distal has taken a few risks and along the way has created a very specific and friendly sound for himself. Cross genre bass music at its finest!

As if the originals here weren’t enough, the remix lineup is stacked! Another Stateside name that can do no wrong of late, Machinedrum lays down an exciting footwork inspired jam, the UK’s DS1 reinvents his track with a purple dubstep feel, BD1982 brings his signature tribal sound, Dev79 & Thrills drop a deep n’ dark stepper and ID closes out with some funky house vibes.

Distal tracks have been played by Sinden, Appleblim, 2562, Joe Nice, Ramadanman, BenUFO, Julio Bashmore, Breakage, and more. He’s been featured in FACT, Resident Advisor, XLR8R, Discobelle and many other publications.
