After a string of vinyl releases and compilation appareances on labels such as Dead Homies, Werk Discs, Ruff, Slit Jockey, and Non Classical, Starkey steps up to the plate with his first official mixtape release! The streets have been banging the first installment of the series for a few months now and here Starkey is back with another round of fire. Street Bass Anthems Volume 2 is a collection of all exclusive remixes and blends, in an un-mixed compilation style mixtape. This CD is boiling over with heat from Starkey and associates, such as Tactic, Elixir, Dev79, MOVES!!!, BD1982, Jason Carr, and more.

Street Bass Anthems is a new mixtape series that Dev79 and Starkey, of Philadelphia's Seclusiasis crew, have conceived. They will be alternating on presenting the CD's, with Dev79's Volume 3 slated for a late October 2007 release. This series will be showcasing the Street Bass sound and will be primarily featuring tracks from DJ's and producers in the Philly area. "Street Bass" is their unique interpretation of the various bass heavy urban musics floating around the world right now. Starkey says, "It's our Philly-centric approach to mixing up the sounds we hear as DJ's and the blend of sounds we use in our productions." But lets not get lost here, as Dev79 says "It's def about the club. And we wanna see bitches shakin' their asses on the floor!" These Street Bass Anthems CD's are geared towards DJ's, by providing ammo for the dancefloor, but care has also been taken to make it a dope listen straight through as a compilation, to the average music fan.

PJ Geissinger has been performing as Starkey for only three years and has already garnered attention for his energetic live performances and original sound. Starkey is a member of Philadelphia’s Seclusiasis crew and NYC’s Trouble & Bass Crew. In 2005, Starkey won both the North American and Mid-Atlantic Laptop Battles, in Seattle and Washington D.C. respectively. He was also featured in the Philadelphia City Paper’s 2005 Spring Music Issue and awarded the Choice Award for “Best UK Grime DJ in Philly” along with Dev79.
