in case you've been living under a rock, you may have missed the news that seclusiasis' dev79 has a new monday residency at the city's newest club, vango lounge and skybar at rittehnouse (116 s. 18th street). the club has a heated roof deck, no cover and a good sound system. dev79 shares the decks with maggy thump for a blend of reggae, electro, hiphop and street bass mayhem. start your week off right... every monday.

jason carr (2007 philadelphia champ) and mr. andersonic (2007 nyc champ) will be competing in this year's national laptop battle championship in seattle on saturday december 1st. dev79 will also be on hand as one of the esteemed judges for the event, as well as dj'ing at the after party. vytear (2006 national & philly laptop battle champ) will drop a featured live set at the championship as well. everyone wish jason carr and mr. andersonic their best!

this one is gonna be BIG. sunday, october 21st, we're bringing you a special edition of 'open fire' at inciting hq (940 delaware ave, philly). starkey & dev79 will be repping the home team, and vex'd (planet mu, subtext, nonclassical: london) will be on hand to tear the place apart. some of you may remember the last time we had vex'd in town. well this time it's going to be both jamie and roly... and they're going to be doing their first ever live sets in the u.s. inciting hq has one of the best sound systems in the city, so expect some serious weight. it gets better, tickets are only $7, and they're available in advance at tequila sunrise records in philly as well as on the seclusiasis webstore. it's all-ages, byob, plus we're giving away free c-juice from 9-10pm. do not miss this.

as you may have noticed, we haven't posted anything about this month's 'open fire' yet.... and that's because we're not going to be doing our lovely 2nd friday party upstairs at sal's anymore. last month's 'street bass anthems' release party was a good time, but this summer is looking to be pretty hectic, so we've decided to put it on hiatus. you may see the 'open fire' party name popping up here and there though... so don't be too upset. we've got some good things planned for the summer so keep paying attention.
