The upcoming EP “Synthesized Landscapes From Future,” by Italy’s Aquadrop, is a concept piece that shows excellent composition and we are excited for everyone to get their bodies into it! This EP will hit all digital shops on Monday July 23rd. In celebration of this release, Aquadrop and has cooked up a couple video teasers, check em out!
The ideas for “Synthesized Landscapes From Future” were born outdoors, in front of diverse landscapes such as desert seas, high mountains and the rooftop of a skyscraper. Then Aquadrop imagined the same places in a distant future. He used an iPad to quickly write down inspirations and then re-composed all the tracks in his studio with mostly analog gear such as Formanta Polivoks, Moog Little Phatty, Dave Smith Tetra and Waldorf Blofeld. The final song switches lanes to add digital synths into the fold. The result is something between futuristic film soundtracks, wonky beats and bass music.
Hailing from Milan, Italy, Aron Airaghi aka Aquadrop has released a variety of bass/electronic music styles on labels such as L2S, Trenchant Dubs, Eight:FX, Get Hype and more. His music has received support from Brodinski, Untold, Mowgli, Skream, Benga, Chrissy Murderbot, Doctor P, Distal, Sam Tiba, The Wire, BBC Radio 1, DJ Mag, XFM, Resident Advisor, Ninja Tune, Ministry of Sound, Knowledge Magazine, etc.
