Aquadrop – Synthetic Landscapes from the Future OUT NOW!

Our man in Milan, Aquadrop is back with another slab of futuristic bass-fueled funk! Finding the sweet spot between rave, wonky and IDM, Aquadrop has done it again and it’s gonna make ya ears bleed! The latest EP from Italy’s Aquadrop is a concept piece that shows excellent composition and we are excited for everyone to get their bodies into it! Chock full of bewildering arpeggios, ghetto snippets and bouncy basslines, ‘Landscapes’ is sure to make your party explode!

The ideas for “Synthesized Landscapes From The Future” were born outdoors, in front of diverse landscapes such as desert seas, high mountains and the rooftop of a skyscraper. Then Aquadrop imagined the same places in a distant future. He used an iPad to quickly write down inspirations and then re-composed all the tracks in his studio with mostly analog gear such as Formanta Polivoks, Moog Little Phatty, Dave Smith Tetra and Waldorf Blofeld. The final song switches lanes to add digital synths into the fold. The result is something between futuristic film soundtracks, wonky beats and bass music.
